About us

What drives us

What drives us

Imagine the future: billions of things are connected to the web, and artificial intelligence is more powerful than ever. At Security and Safety Things, we strive to use these technologies to make the world more secure.

That’s why we are launching our open IoT platform for security cameras. Together with our manufacturing, app development, and integrator partners, we will shape the future of security. Our ecosystem complies with rules and ethical guidelines to ensure data privacy – so users and the general public can trust it.

Security and Safety Things is a fully owned but independent Bosch start-up headquartered in Munich, Germany. We are cooperating closely with the Open Security and Safety Alliance which was founded in 2018.

No one can guarantee security on their own; it’s something that you have to achieve through cooperation. That’s our approach.

Our partner: Open Security and Safety Alliance

The Open Security & Safety Alliance (the Alliance) is a collaboration initiative that brings together like-minded organizations in order to create a framework providing standards and specifications for common components including an operating system, IoT infrastructure, collective approach for data security and privacy, and a drive for improved levels of performance for security and safety solutions.

This will help the market and parties involved to focus on the aspects that really add value for their customers and open up new application possibilities, even beyond security and safety.

The Alliance is accessible for all types of players in the industry. This includes, but is not limited to device manufacturers, system on chip (SoC) manufacturers, system integrators, consultants, service providers, as well as application and software developers.
